Fourth of July Weekend

For the fourth of July Weekend, we took a day trip to Twin Falls on the 3rd to see the elk ranch and family.  We then spent the fourth at home playing in the backyard so the boys could beat the heat in their wading pool.  On the evening of the fourth we took a chance and went to Melba, parked on the side of the road and setup a blanket on some weeds to watch the fireworks.  We weren’t sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised.  We were also far enough away from the fireworks that the noise didn’t scare any of our more sensitive boys.  We finally made it home to light our own fireworks and get the boys to bed around midnight.  It was a great weekend full of family and fun.

The best picture we could get at the elk ranch.  Clayton had already found some dirt . . . it doesn’t take him long.

The animals are certainly impressive.  It was a bit unnerving at first to stand in the pen with all of these bulls and our boys, but they didn’t really care about us.

Quentin enjoying the heat, the 100 degrees outside was a lot like the 98.6 degrees he enjoyed before birth.
