Wanderlust

This has been a travelling summer, especially in June. We started the month in Mississippi enjoying a great time with my parents. After a short break we drove to Wyoming for a family reunion and returned home through Utah to help send off Kent and Betty for their mission. We also sent our boys with Grandma & Grandpa Weeks for some fun in Grace. Once the month had ended, we had been to 4 states, gone from sea level to 9000 feet, and had seen the beautiful variety of landscapes of this country.

Although we flew to MS, Google maps said we covered 5,42o miles.

Before we hit the road, Clayton had a little business to take care of. He made it through his first year of school and graduated from Kindergarten. He has started to read and enjoys it. We love hearing him sound out words and try to piece them together. He was a great student a is looking forward to first grade.

I took these airplane pictures just after our first flight took off. Fortunately Quentin fell asleep quick and everyone was in good spirits. I don't think I took pictures of the flight home. . . .

The three older boys were so excited to see Grandma and Grandpa that they ran to meet them. Unfortunately, Austin tripped and fell so he fell a little behind.

We flew into Gulfport because the tickets were cheaper, but this gave us a chance to ride the boat to Ship Island. We had a great time at the beach. We had to keep Quentin out of the water, he liked the salty taste so much that he would stick his finger in the water and lick it off.

Stay tuned, there is more to come on our summer adventures.
